Here at the Office of Healthy Aging (OHA) we are committed to providing the resources necessary for all individuals to learn how to achieve healthy aging. Administration for Community Living (ACL)

The Administration for Community Living was created around the fundamental principle that older adults and people of all ages with disabilities should be able to live where they choose, with the people they choose, and with the ability to participate fully in their communities. By funding services and supports provided primarily by networks of community-based organizations, and with investments in research, education, and innovation, ACL helps make this principle a reality for millions of Americans.

American Federation for Aging Research (afar)

AFAR’s goal is to fund and nurture talented scientists and physicians and encourage them to pursue lifelong careers in research focused on aging processes and age-related diseases.

Federal Office of Rural Health Policy

The Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) works to increase access to care for underserved people in rural communities through several programs.

The Gerontological Society of America

The Gerontological Society of America’s mission is to cultivate excellence in interdisciplinary aging research and education to advance innovations in practice and policy through elevating the public understanding of, and regard for, aging with meaning.

The National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC)

NAC is a dedicated to improving quality of life for friend and family caregivers and those in their care, by advancing research, advocacy, and innovation. NAC provides technical assistance to a national network of caregiving coalitions representing nearly 30 states and localities in the United States and serves as Founder and Secretariat for the International Alliance of Career Organizations (IACO).

The National Council on Aging (NCOA)

NCOA believes that aging well is something every American deserves—regardless of gender, color, sexuality, income, or zip code. NCOA delivers the resources, tools, best practices, and advocacy needed to ensure that every person can age with health and financial security.

National Institute on Aging

The National Institute on Aging’s primary activities include funding extramural research at universities and research centers across the U.S. and around the world; maintaining an active communications and outreach program; and conducting a vibrant intramural research program to better aid in chronic disease research.

Rural Health Research Gateway

The Rural Health Research Gateway provides easy and timely access to research conducted by the Rural Health Research Centers. The Gateway further provides publication and project information from 1997-present.
