The College of Health and Human Performance hosted a new event — HHP GRADventure: Navigating Academic Prosperity and Well-Being — Aug. 13 to present and detail resource options to its graduate students. About 30 master’s and doctoral students attended, representing HHP’s range of departments and degree options, and most were incoming HHP students.

This event rooted in student success was created to provide information and resources for HHP graduate students on financial well-being, financial aid and scholarships, emotional health and surviving graduate school. There also was a networking session and time for students to work on their financial plan.

Dr. Eboni Baugh, who is HHP’s associate dean for graduate studies and faculty affairs, was lead organizer. Other contributors and presenters included Dr. Stacy Warner, who delivered a “Telling Your Story” session about career building, ECU director of university scholarships Summer Edwards on financial aid and financial well-being, and Dr. Erin Roberts presented about mental wellness.
