Kelli Russell and Dr. Alice Richman represented East Carolina University’s College of Health and Human Performance all the way in California during the Spring 2024 semester when they attended this year’s Maternal Child Health Bureau meeting at UC Berkeley.

Richman, a professor in the Department of Health Education and Promotion, served on the MCHB planning committee. Russell also is a faculty member in ECU health education and promotion.

They shared a presentation on “Strengthening the MCH Public Health Continuum and Trainee Experiences,” and a brief Shark Tank presentation during the conference. Throughout the event, ECU was involved in networking, brainstorming and further exploring how to improve the health and well-being of mothers, children and families.
