Name: Catylyn Craven

Major: Family and Consumer Sciences Education

Hometown: Climax, N.C.

Hobbies/interests: Exercising, Cooking, Baking, Reading, Building Lego models.

Favorite class: My FACS courses! To be specific, my interior design course.

Favorite place on campus: I’m an online student, so I don’t visit the campus much. However, I loved the library during my time at ECU!

An ECU memory you would like to share: The scholarship ceremonies were lovely to attend. It’s fantastic receiving recognition for my achievements and watching others have their moment to shine as well.

Post-graduation plans:  In the fall, I plan to come back to ECU to complete a second degree in Interior Design.

From Craven: “A significant personal accomplishment since I started, ECU has been working with my doctor and my support system to overcome my extreme driving anxiety and finally get my license. Throughout my time at ECU, I have received several scholarships. I’ve been on the dean’s list. I have received my Serve Safe certification. I’ve maintained a high GPA and received several certifications through my place of employment at a childcare facility.”
