Bromfield, who joined ECU in 2024, is currently dean of the College of the Health and Human Performance. This shift is part of a planned redesign of the College of Health and Human Performance and the College of Allied Health Sciences. Members of a unified college taskforce began meeting in November to explore and shape the future structure, academic components and governance of the new college.
“I am confident in Nicole’s leadership and her ability to guide the newly formed college as we look forward to serving a new generation of ECU students,” Buddo said.
Bromfield began as HHP’s dean July 1, 2024, immediately shaping the college’s vision and overseeing accomplishments and campus and community impact for three full semesters heading into 2026.
“While change can bring uncertainty, it also brings immense opportunity,” Bromfield said. “Together with our colleagues in CAHS, we can reach our next level of excellence as we prepare future health and human service professionals to work in our community.”
