Jensen named president-elect of NCAMFT board
Dr. Jake Jensen recently won election as president-elect of the North Carolina State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Jensen is well-known as an expert in examining factors associated with healthy relationship functioning. He is an associate professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science in the College of Health and Human Performance. He will serve as president-elect in 2024 and 2025, and then become president of the NCAMFT board in 2026.
“I feel really honored to hold this position and feel like it will be a good representation of ECU, HHP, the HDFS Department and our MedFT/MFT programs,” Jensen said. “I will collaborate with other board presidents from around the nation to work on policies, licensing requirements, MFT alumni networking events, and be directly responsible for planning and executing the state NCAMFT conference each year.”
