HHP 2024 Celebration of Philanthropy and Service

The 2024 College of Health and Human Performance Celebration of Philanthropy and Service provided another opportunity to honor individuals, groups and alumni who support HHP’s mission and student success. The ceremony was held April 12 in the ECU Main Campus Student Center.

A virtual program is available to view in celebration. This includes a full list of student success champions and cornerstone society members.

The program included recognition of HHP outstanding alumni. They were Dr. Francisco Limon (Human Development and Family Science), Don Octigan (Recreation Sciences) and JaNell Octigan (Health Education and Promotion). The 2023-24 HHP Wall of Fame honorees recognized were Dr. Cynthia Johnson (HDFS) and Dr. Carmen Russoniello (RCSC).

Also honored with awards were Jennifer Baysden (ECU Online Learning, Academic Outreach and Academic Innovation Office), Jennifer Harrell (ECU Academic Affairs) and Suzanne Sparrow (ECU Institution Review Board) for their distinguished service to HHP and #TheHHPExperience.
