The College of Health and Human Performance developed a class in the Fall 2023 semester within our Interior Design and Merchandising Department to establish a campus-wide professional clothing closet addressing clothing needs of ECU students and enhancing opportunities for success. Using a multidisciplinary approach about entrepreneurship and philanthropy, this class framework addresses business plan development, marketing, showroom establishment and operations, merchandise management and other aspects of the business side of a small retail business.
Also, pop-up shops for this closet are scheduled for March 21, March 28, April 4 and April 11 from noon-4 p.m. outside the Rivers Building. This is a great opportunity open to all students, who are encouraged to visit during those days to get any pieces they may need for interviews, meetings or other events.
