Congressional Record given to Air Force ROTC

A Congressional Record was presented by U.S. Rep. Don Davis’ office to East Carolina’s Air Force ROTC unit in the Wright Annex Building. This stemmed from September 2023 when Davis shared information about the ECU AFROTC 75th anniversary on the Congressional floor.

ECU’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 600 opened in 1948. This was one year after the U.S. Air Force was officially established as its own military branch on Sept. 18, 1947.

About a week before the Congressional Record presentation, U.S. Sen. Ted Budd toured the visual motor lab and performance optimization lab as part of his visit to ECU and with the College of Health and Human Performance.
