Yeager represents ECU, HHP at conference

This semester for Dr. Emily Yeager has included being one of the HHP faculty members to provide remarks at the university-wide forum with the North Carolina Office of Strategic Partnerships, giving insight to WITN about North Carolina named a top-five place in the country to start a business, and she traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, for the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship annual conference.

Yeager is as an assistant professor in the Department of Recreation Sciences and director of the ECU Crisp Small Business Resource Center. She was joined by Pirate colleagues for a strong presence in Alabama to showcase ECU in a variety of ways.

The Crisp Small Business Resource Center is the entrepreneurial resource hub of eastern North Carolina, serving a 29-county region. Yeager is as an assistant professor in recreation sciences and directs the Crisp Small Business Resource Center with a research agenda focused on sustainable community development built upon a community’s unique assets and cultural nuances.
