Swank, McGee into Wall of Fame; Students honored for scholarships

An April event for the College of Health and Human Performance in the ECU Main Campus Student Center saw formal recognition for Dr. Katherine Swank and Dr. Jerry McGee to be inducted into the HHP Wall of Fame. Dozens of students also were in attendance as part of scholarship recognition.

For the academic year 2021-2022, HHP awarded approximately $158,000 in scholarships to 112 students. The students in attendance were publicly lauded for their individual scholarship and scholarship name. Donors also were present for the event.

“This event is one of the best we have every year to celebrate those success stories,” HHP Dean Anisa Zvonkovic said during her remarks to the crowd. “As we are all gathered here this evening, this is a great time to think about the scholarship totals I read and the impact they have on our students and in our college in so many ways. Right now, we have donors, students, staff, faculty all here to celebrate what has been accomplished.”
